When hinges creak in doorless chambers...

...or candlight flickers where the air is deathly still, that is the time that ghosts are present and practicing terror in their ghoulish delight. Welcome foolish mortals. It wouldn't be vacation without a little touch of Disney. Above is the picture of my kitchen in the beach house. Below it is the picture of my view from that kitchen window.

The nice old lady next door really loved her antiques. Looking in any window in her house you would see large old candleabras with thick waxy old candles or white mannequin heads stacked on old dusty bookcases. And of course, there was "the sea hag" as we affectionatly called her, a faceless sewing mannequin dressed in her sunday best in the upstairs window, always watching us. She made me jump quite a few times as I looked out the dark kitchen window and one of the master bedroom windows every night. If you think she looks creepy in the picture, imagine her bathed in moonlight. We indeed had our very own Haunted Mansion. Beacuse when crypt doors creak and tombstones quake, spooks come out for a swinging wake. So in honor of our favorite "Sea Hag" enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4XYOg6K9Ww

There are more beach pictures to come. so hurry back, hurry ba-ack, and don't forget to bring your death certificate.
