A week on the coast

As you may remember, last year we rented a cozy little beach house for a week on the Oregon Coast and absolutely fell in love. So this year we we just had to go back, except we rented a huge house around the corner from last years and brought our good friends the McDonalds and Jon's sister, Laura, with us. The house was HUGE and amazing. We had lots of space, a hot tub, even a game room with ping pong and pool tables. We had amazing ocean views and although we didn't get the gameshow network this year :( , we happily substituted it with more episodes of Spongebob, Phineas and Ferb, and time in the Hot Tub. There were lots of puzzles, Ticket to Ride (AJ even beat Jon once ;), a climb to the top of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and a beautiful 3 mile hike up to Drift Creek Falls. After a night of watching Drive-Ins, Diners, and Dives, Jon got a hankering for a severe dive-worthy hot dog that he and Laura cooked up the next day. It started with a beef hot dog topped with a ground beef/bbq sauce/hot sauce/and more mixture, then bacon, onions, cheese and who knows what else. Actually they were very tasty. Lots of fun on a beach, including a fire on the beach for smores, and a hole digging contest. A great week with great friends! Until next year...
